Ooey Gooey Cheesy Sheet Pan Nachos
Don’t you just love digging into a giant pile of ooey, gooey, saucy, cheesy, and crunchy nachos? Ya, so do we. This is why these easy, cheesy sheet pan nachos recipe has become a favorite meal in our home, especially on our day of rest (check out our blog post about why we Sabbath HERE). Shareable nachos are perfect for a slow conversation meal around the dinner table! On top of that, it makes for a fun and whimsical experience for guests if you love to host.

Why our family loves Ooey Gooey Cheesy Sheet Pan Nachos
We love this recipe for many reasons. For one, it’s an easy weeknight go-to, especially when you are short on time and energy.
We also love having this recipe as a fun sharing dish when hosting. What makes this such a fun and whimsical recipe is that you can plop the whole pan of nachos in the middle of the table, and everyone can dig in. No plates or forks are needed!
This recipe frequents our Sabbath kick-off dinner Friday nights. One of our favorite parts about the Sabbath is taking the time to slow down, spend quality time with people we love, and have good conversations over good food. We want to have a relaxed time around the Sabbath dinner table, so having easy meals prepped and ready ahead of time is our secret to success- and this is one of those recipes!
There is just something soooooo comforting about a big pile of messy nachos that everyone can just dive into together. Do you feel me on that? Not only are Nachos easy to prepare, but they are super affordable and 100% delicious. And the best part? You can keep most of the ingredients on hand for nights where you just don’t know what to make for dinner!

Customize the Nachos for your family.
This is a very customizable recipe. Feel the freedom to make these your own. We have suggested toppings below, but there are so many options you can put on Nachos, so be creative.
Our favorite way to eat these Ooey, Goey Nachos is to put a giant pile of them in the middle of the table and allow the kids to dig in themselves! Our oldest daughter, Azalia, is a vegetarian, so we make her a custom pan without meat. We often make half the pan “extra spicy” (including pepper jack cheese, jalapenos, and spicy salsa) for the adults.
Some of our favorite toppings include
- rotisserie chicken or taco-seasoned ground beef
- cilantro
- black beans
- tomatoes
- fresh or pickled jalapenos
- pickled red onions
- homemade salsa
- crumbled queso fresco or feta cheese
- corn
- shredded lettuce
- sour cream

Can kids help make Ooey Gooey Nachos?
Yes absolutely! Invite your kids to join you in prepping this meal! They can help with cutting up the different toppings, spreading the chips and cheese on the pan, and sprinkling the toppings on top! Some of our favorite family memories are made in the kitchen, and kids feel a greater sense of responsibility and ownership when they are invited into the kitchen to help prep.

After you make this recipe, comment below and let us know what you think (and what toppings you added!) It would also mean the world if you shared this post on social! I’m sure your friends will be jumping at the bit to come over for your next sabbath meal and game night! (HINT: This recipe is also a great family game night snack)
