Slow down with us.

Step away from your to-do list and into a peaceful evening of creativity.

These workshops are designed for beginners — whether you’ve never picked up a brush or simply want a gentle refresher. You’ll learn foundational watercolor techniques in a relaxed, encouraging environment where the focus is on progress, not perfection.

We’ll move slowly, layer by layer, so you feel confident using your brush, controlling water, and mixing color. By the end of the evening, you’ll leave with a finished painting and a deeper understanding of how watercolor works.

Come on your own or invite a friend. Coffee, wine, and small bites will be available for purchase during the event, and all painting supplies are included.

Seats are limited to 12 participants per session to ensure personal attention.

ABOUT THE artist

Kayla Cornish

Kayla Cornish is a watercolor artist based in Pagosa Springs, Colorado, and the co-founder of Legacy Roots Co. and The Slow & Savor Society, where she helps others slow down, cultivate creativity, and intentional rhythms in everyday life. Inspired by mountains, florals, and the beauty of quiet moments, her artwork reflects a love for simplicity and depth.

During a long and unexpected season in the NICU with her 7th child, Kayla rediscovered the quiet therapy of watercolor. Painting daily by her daughter’s bedside became a steady rhythm — one that brought peace, focus, and renewal in the middle of uncertainty. That season deepened her belief that creativity can steady us and gently slow life down.

Kayla’s workshops are designed to feel approachable and unhurried. With a gentle, encouraging teaching style, she guides beginners step-by-step so they can grow in confidence and enjoy the process — not just the outcome.

For Kayla, watercolor is more than a medium. It’s an invitation to slow down and notice beauty again.
