Statement of Faith

We believe that God is the creator of the heavens and earth and all that is in them. That God created humans as male and female and placed His image in us to rule, create, and cultivate on earth. He designed us to worship Him and to bring Him glory through our work and praise. He alone is king and worthy of our praise (Genesis 1-2). 

We believe that humankind, through our own free will, chose to attempt to take wisdom (the knowledge of determining what’s good and evil) for ourselves and have rejected God’s wisdom, love, and guidance (Genesis 3). Similarly to humans, there are also spiritual beings who have done the same. Sin is missing the mark of fulfilling our role as image-bearers of God. This sin separates us from God and requires healing that only Jesus could provide. 

We believe that God has revealed himself by telling us His name, YHWH, I am. “Compassionate and gracious, abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness. Blessing generations to the thousands but He will not let the guilty go unpunished.” – Exodus 34:6-7

We believe that God has revealed himself through the trinity: The Father, as Jesus the son who was fully God and man, and by the Holy Spirit (John 14). We believe God alone is all-knowing, all-powerful, and all-present.

We believe that Jesus Christ is the savior, the one and only way to the Father and salvation (John 14:6). That he was the promised Messiah and King, and that he will one day return to usher in a new heaven and a new earth (Revelation 21). Those who have given their allegiance to Jesus will be raised from the dead, given a new body, and will live, work, and enjoy living fully in God’s presence forever. Those who reject Jesus will spend the rest of eternity separated from God. 

We believe the Bible is God’s own word to mankind. That it is one unified story written across hundreds of years through many different authors that leads to Jesus. As the Apostle Paul said in 2 Timothy 3:14-17, “All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.”

We believe the church is made up of all believers around the world and that God has given spiritual gifts to its members in order to fulfill the mission of advancing God’s kingdom here on earth. The local church and everyone in it are God’s representatives, together in unity, to spread the good news – the Gospel that Jesus is King.

We believe we could never capture everything we believe in writing! The depth of God’s character, love, grace, and mercy is beyond our understanding, and we are committed to being lifelong learners! We encourage you to deepen your roots in God’s Word and live by His love, grace, and truth.
